Abbotsbury sits on the B3157 coast road between Weymouth and Bridport. Two car parks, two bus stops, and the coast path through the middle.
Follow the B3157 coast road. From Weymouth it is signed to Bridport, from Bridport to Weymouth; the village is on the road, not off it. Postcodes for the satnav: DT3 4JL for Rodden Row and the village centre, DT3 4JG for the Swannery, DT3 4LA for the Subtropical Gardens and the beach car park.
The X53 Jurassic Coaster and the X52 stop in the village at the Swan Inn and the Ilchester Arms, in both directions, towards Weymouth one way and Bridport the other. Live times for every stop are on the buses page.
The nearest station is Weymouth. The X53 leaves from the King's Statue on the seafront, a few minutes' walk from the station, and comes straight along the coast road to the village.
The South West Coast Path runs through Abbotsbury, so you can walk in from either direction along the coast. See walks from the village.
Off Rodden Row, by the village centre. Charges apply. It is the one to use for the shops, the pubs, the church, the tithe barn and the walk up to St Catherine's Chapel.
At the end of Buller's Way, about a mile from the village, right behind the beach. Charges apply and there are toilets in the car park. This is the start of the coast path walk round to the Swannery and the village.
Both have their own visitor parking. Check their sites for the current arrangements: Abbotsbury Swannery and Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens.
The coast road through the village is narrow, with the tightest spots on Rodden Row and Market Street. Drivers of anything long or wide should take it slowly through the village and not rely on the satnav for a place to turn.
